Horizons
I have a dream.
I see a road uncharted, a path of boundless paths, a sea of dreams to be dreamt I see legion after legion chasing since birth the missing horizon of a round earth Purposelessly, Hopelessly, Oblivious
I enter a forest untravelled, its green transcendence unending
A mystery that blinded the sun, trees diagnosed with acute usefulness Unknowing to their fate of serving our vanity
Each trunk colonising history, each branch walking the afternoon walk of Darwin Continuous uncompromising evolution
Currently shutting down, deserted by us, deserting our health
Busy souls chasing the missing horizon of a round earth
I hear a melody unsung, the grace of the morning wave kissing the sand at dawn A cosmic melody blowing waves in space
Awakening our heart, softening our pain, changing mighty lions into humble cats Healing old, raging wounds
Yet, a melody unsung, falling on the deaf
Chasing the missing horizon of a round earth
I travel to a nebula undetected
I am Tycho Brahe and Johannes Kepler and Galileo Galilei
Exploring every ominous shadow and every unusual reading
Every hue of bright red to light up the grey miseries of life Such beauty, grounded in imagination.
2 “Are we alone”? Never alone; our inner self is our beauty and our wealth Yet legions are lost, spent for the missing horizon of a round earth
I read a book unread; its wisdom far beyond our illusions
Magnifying reality, captivating beauty, spreading our reach
“Who is purposeless”? No man is purposeless
To live is to be curious, a Magellan’s trip that most will not travel
For they see no horizon
I meet a man that hasn’t hope, begging for life’s mercy,
Searching for the one that transforms life
“Look in the mirror”! No, not the mirror
The unbearable painting of life lost, of a boat wrecked in this firth
Lost in the missing horizon of a round Earth
I am the horizon.
Lived in abandoned but glorious forests, sang unsung melodies to the waves
Travelled to nebulas not yet recorded, survived life’s unbearable pain
Read books unopened, smelled the possibilities of even the hopeless and the lost Life, wonderfully warm and cold as frost
I am the maker of horizons. I have the dream.
