Για τον εορτασμό της Εθνικής Εορτής της 28ης Οκτωβρίου στο Μουσείο Ακρόπολης την Τρίτη 28 Οκτωβρίου 2014, οι Αρχαιολόγοι-Φροντιστές του Μουσείου θα παρουσιάσουν στους επισκέπτες την επίδραση των γλυπτών της Ακρόπολης στη δημιουργία ελληνικής Αναγέννησης στο δυτικό κόσμο. Αφορμή θα είναι το χάλκινο τέθριππο με τη θεά Νίκη από τη συλλογή του Θεόφιλου Χάνσεν που υπήρξε αρχιτέκτονας σπουδαίων νεοκλασικών κτηρίων στην Ελλάδα και την κεντρική Ευρώπη του 19ου αιώνα.
Το έκθεμα θα παραμείνει στο Μουσείο Ακρόπολης έως τις 18 Ιανουαρίου 2015. Προέρχεται από το Μουσείο Εφαρμοσμένων Τεχνών της Βιέννης και αποτελεί μέρος της έκθεσης με τίτλο «Ελληνική Αναγέννηση: Η αρχιτεκτονική του Θεόφιλου Χάνσεν (1813-1891)» που πραγματοποιείται στο Ίδρυμα Εικαστικών Τεχνών και Μουσικής Β. & Μ. Θεοχαράκη.
Την ημέρα της 28ης Οκτωβρίου, το Μουσείο Ακρόπολης θα είναι ανοιχτό από τις 8 π.μ. έως τις 8 μ.μ. με ελεύθερη είσοδο. Πληροφορίες για το πρόγραμμα των παρουσιάσεων θα ανακοινωθούν σύντομα στην ιστοσελίδα www.theacropolismuseum.gr.
Με την έναρξη του χειμερινού ωραρίου λειτουργίας του, το Μουσείο Ακρόπολης από την 1η Νοεμβρίου έως και την 31η Μαρτίου θα είναι ανοιχτό και την Δευτέρα, από τις 9 π.μ. έως τις 5 μ.μ., προκειμένου να ανταποκριθεί στον αυξημένο αριθμό επισκεπτών στη χώρα μας. Με αυτή την αλλαγή, οι ώρες λειτουργίας του Μουσείου για το παραπάνω διάστημα θα έχουν ως εξής:
Δευτέρα έως Πέμπτη: 9 π.μ. – 5 μ.μ.
Παρασκευή: 9 π.μ. – 10 μ.μ.
Σάββατο και Κυριακή: 9 π.μ. – 8 μ.μ.
Quadriga from the collection of Theophil Hansen
at the Acropolis Museum
On the occasion of the Greek National Holiday of Tuesday 28 October 2014, the Acropolis Museum Archaeologist-Hosts will present visitors the effect of the Acropolis sculptures in the creation of Hellenic Renaissance in the western world. The occasion for this will be the quadriga with the goddess Nike from the collection of Theophil Hansen, the great architect of neoclassical buildings in Greece and central Europe in the 19th century.
The exhibit will remain at the Acropolis Museum until 18 January 2015 on loan from the Museum of Applied Arts/Contemporary Art in Vienna and it is part of the exhibition “Hellenic Renaissance: The architecture of Theophil Hansen (1813-1891)” presented at the B. & M. Theocharakis Foundation for the Fine Arts and Music.
On 28 October the Acropolis Museum will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with free entry for all visitors. Information about the program of the presentations will be available soon on the website www.theacropolismuseum.gr.
With the beginning of the winter opening times from 1 November to 31 March, the Acropolis Museum will open on Mondays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in order to accommodate the increased number of visitors in Greece during this time period. With this change, the opening hours of the Acropolis Museum will be as follows for the above time period:
Monday to Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
