The conference was held today at Cambridge University. The event was held under the Auspices of The Ecumenical Patriarchate (the Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain) and the University of Cambridge, and bought together academics, policy-makers, practitioners, religious organisations, and representatives of civil society to address the complex intersections between migration, vulnerability, and modern slavery.
The conference was organized by Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain, Professor Napoleon Katsos of Cambridge University and Dr Petre Breazu of Cambridge University.
The introductions were made by Archbishop Nikitas and Professor Napoleon Katsos.
There was an excellent turnout of guests, as well as a representative of
His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

Professor Carole Murphy, Director of the Bakhita Centre for Research on Slavery, Exploitation and Abuse, St Mary’s University Twickenham, London.
Dr Vasileia Digidiki, Director of the FXB Center Program on Distress Migration, Harvard University.

After a very successful conference, the attendees were provided with an excellent lunch where much discussions continued.
