Last evenings Gala to honour our Archbishop Nikitas Name Day was a very big success in every way.
The event was at full capacity with 570 people, excellent food and wonderfull musical entertainment. Speeches were made by His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas and Father Nephon Tsimalis.
It was very encouraging for the Archbishop to see that every single London Community had a table as well as Communities from Edinburgh, Manchester, Nottingham, Leicester, Birmingham, Southamton, Coventry and many others.
The highlight was the surprise entrance of Kaiti Koullias from the Archbishop’s island Kalymnos who sang to the Archbishop. The Archbishop was unaware of her presence as the secret had been kept by a very few people.
The guests included The High Commissioner of Cyprus Dr Kiriacos Kouros, His Grace Bishop Maximos, His Grace Bishop Raphael, His Grace Bishop Iakovos. Also invited were Metropolitan of Guinea, Archbishop Atanasie, His Excellency Tihomir Stoytchev, Father Shnork Bagdasarin, MAR Awraham Youkhanis and Christos Karaolis President of Pomak.
