The annual Memorial Service for the late Archbishop of Thyateira Gregorios was held in all Greek Orthodox Churches in the UK on Sunday 16th November. The Holy Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain held the Service at St Mary’s Cathedral, Wood Green, London, in which His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain presided over The Matins and Liturgy, and the Memorial. The Service was co-celebrated by His Eminence Metropolitan Athanasios of Koloneia and His Grace Bishop Iakovos of Claudiopolis. The rest of the clergy participating in the Service included Archimandrite Theophanis, Rev. Petros Georgiou, Archdeacon George and Deacon Georgios.
Guests who were invited by the Chairman of the Community of St Barnabas, Archon Marios Minaides were: His Excellency The High Commissioner of Cyprus Kyriakos Kouros, Mr Bambos Charalambous MP, and, representing the National Federation of Cypriots in the UK, The President Christos Karaolis, Michalis Ellinas and Bambos Charalambous, and Archon Pantelis Demosthenous.
Archon Marios Minaides hosted a lunch event after the Service.
